Following the successful defibrillator appeal in Looe. Ten of the fourteen units have now been fitted within the town.
South West Ambulance Services Trust will be running defibrillator awareness sessions for people to learn how to use the devices. A short presentation will be followed by a practical demonstration of the equipment.
Mayor of Looe, Armand Toms, said ‘I would implore people to find the time to attend the awareness sessions. As a community, we all need to familiarise ourselves with this equipment, so that if the need arises we can do our best to save a life’.
There will be no charge for these sessions. However, donations are requested towards future replacement costs of the units recently purchased.
